Lorne Green and the PCC Office team were delighted and honoured to host the Home Secretary, Amber Rudd, during her recent visit to the county.
Keen to learn more about the inner workings of a PCC office, the Home Secretary spent time with Lorne and the staff team, hearing about the work they are doing to deliver against policing and crime priorities, while raising awareness of the PCC’s role and responsibilities.
PCC Lorne Green said: “It was an honour to welcome the Home Secretary and have the opportunity to discuss with her our county’s Police and Crime Plan and our work with partners to keep Norfolk safe and secure.
“Our Police and Crime Plan, launched in recent days, is an ambitious and bold plan to tackle and prevent crime and disorder, protect the most vulnerable and support victims.
“It is through close collaboration between the PCC office, the Home Office, our constabulary, local councils and other organisations that we will deliver that Plan, and that powerful partnership will help ensure ours remains one of the safest counties in the country.”
