Strategic Governance Board
The PCC and Chief Constable hold a regular monthly meeting, attended by chief officers from both organisations, known as the Strategic Governance Board.
Held in private, but with decisions published below, the meetings enable the PCC to exercise his statutory functions, making decisions relating to strategic direction, policy issues and medium/long-term planning. It also provides a regular structured opportunity for the PCC and Chief Constable to brief one another and discuss any pertinent issues.
The first Strategic Governance Board took place on 22 September 2016, with meetings held monthly thereafter.
