Policy and research

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk (OPCCN) works in three overarching areas of crime policy. They are:

  • supporting victims of crime
  • preventing offending
  • policing.

The organisation has expertise covering these policy areas enabling it to support the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) to make decisions on how to respond to his specific responsibilities.

PCC responsibilities

To be able to support the PCC to meet their responsibilities, it is important that the OPCCN is up-to-date on important policy issues. It maintains its expertise by gathering, analysing and disseminating information key to those PCC responsibilities.

The OPCCN works across several key policy areas. To find out more about how we are currently working in these different areas, please visit our specific policy pages below.
