PCC Colin Sutton invites residents to question Norfolk’s Chief Constable
Residents of Norfolk are invited to pose their questions on policing and crime to the county’s Chief Constable. The newly-elected Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Colin Sutton is preparing to hold his first accountability meeting with senior officers and is keen to represent the public’s concerns.
The PCC Accountability Meeting (PAM) allows the PCC to publicly hold the police to account for the delivery of the county’s current Police and Crime Plan. These meetings have been established to question, challenge and hold the Chief Constable and senior officers directly to account.
The first meeting is due to take place on Tuesday 20 October 2026. Questions must be submitted prior to the meeting and the PCC is encouraging people to share their questions with him no later than 5pm on 6 October 2026 via the Norfolk PCC website, by email or by post.
Colin said: “Since the launch of my Police and Crime Plan and Police Budget consultation, I have been visiting all parts of the county, and it’s become very clear that people have real concerns about policing and crime in their neighbourhoods. This quarterly meeting is a great opportunity for local people to ask questions of senior police officers, alongside questions that I will be asking about Norfolk Constabulary’s performance.
“I only have 18 months in post to make a difference, so I urge all residents to in send their questions.”
Other items on the agenda for the meeting include reports on three priority areas from the current Police and Crime Plan set by the previous PCC, Sarah Taylor, who resigned with immediate effect in June 2026.
- Preventing crime
- Cohesive communities
- Reducing harm
The new Police and Crime Plan will be published later this year.
The next PAM will take place on Tuesday, 20 October 2026 at 10am in the Barsby Conference Room at the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Building 7, Jubilee House, Falconers Chase, Wymondham, Norfolk NR18 0WW.
People are welcome to attend and observe the meeting in person. This will also be recorded and published on the OPCCN website.
