Annual reports

The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) publishes an annual report each financial year for members of the public, partner agencies and stakeholders to assess the PCC’s performance against the delivery of their Police and Crime Plan.

The annual report is presented to the Police and Crime Panel where they can scrutinise and support the work of the PCC. Once the annual report is endorsed by the Police and Crime Panel it is then published on the PCC’s website.

The 2022/23 Annual Report has been approved by the Police and Crime Panel and will be published in due course.

Reports to the Police and Crime Panel

Your PCC’s actions and decisions are monitored and scrutinised by the Norfolk Police and Crime Panel. The Panel regularly reviews progress being made by the PCC, in partnership with other agencies, in delivering the Police and Crime Plan.

The Norfolk Police and Crime Panel is a joint committee of the County Council, Borough, City and District Councils. It consists of ten councillors (at least one from each authority) and two independent members (not councillors) chosen by the panel.

You can find out more about the role of the Police and Crime Panel, and how to access reports on progress against the Police and Crime Plan, on our Police and Crime Panel page.

Policing scrutiny

The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) holds the Chief Constable to account for delivering an efficient and effective policing service to the communities of Norfolk, along with performance against the priorities set out in the Police and Crime Plan.

You can find out about the ways your PCC scrutinises and holds the Chief Constable to account for performance on our policing scrutiny page.

Inspections

His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) assesses the effectiveness and efficiency of policing services.

Details of HMICFRS inspections, and the PCC’s response to their findings, can be found on our Inspections page.
