Efficiency and Performance Sub-group

Within the national programme, the group:

  • Ensures the delivery of an efficient and effective Criminal Justice System (CJS), with a proactive response to, and engagement with, national priorities with the aim of influencing those priorities 
  • Identifies and focuses on emerging risks
  • Supports a culture of continuous improvement that maximises the potential to maintain capacity and capability across the CJS, within the resource framework available
  • Is accountable for the scrutiny of performance and delivery across the CJS, demonstrating the impact of the Board, with the aim of increasing confidence in the Criminal Justice System.
