Delayed publication of Statement of Accounts for 2022/23

Notice of Delay to Publication of the Unaudited Draft Statement of Accounts 2022/23 and Public Inspection Period.

The Accounts and Audit  Regulations 2015 require the Police and Crime Commissioner and the Chief Constable to respectively publish the Unaudited Statement of Accounts for the financial year ending 31 March 2023 by 31 May 2023.

For operational reasons there has been a delay in concluding the respective 2021/22 external audit. This delay also means that the Police and Crime Commissioner and Chief Constable are not yet in a position to publish the respective 2022/23 unaudited accounts.

The associated inspection period for the 2022/23 financial statements cannot happen until those unaudited accounts are published.

The audited 2021/22 accounts, the unaudited 2022/23 accounts and the notice of public inspection will be published as soon as reasonably practicable.
